SCHEDULE QF DELIVERY PERFORMANCE The contractor shall furnish and provide all labor, mate-rial and equipment necessary to a:.cquire, t.r'anspo'rt, ,:fnd replace/install a ne~ pretast conrirete retainin~ wall at the BOQ. SCHEDULE OF PERFO::EU-:fANCE Normal working hours are estimated Monday thru Friday 7:00AM3:jOPM t6 e*clude federal holidays. The ~bhttactor cannot be guaranteed a forty (40) hour work week at the work site. Part--of the working ho1.1rs will include bi.lt not limi tei;:l to:: movement through the. entrance to the work site, tool inventories checklist, and material loading and unlpading. Expected dates of delive,ry and performance are June 2022-July 2022~ The contractor will have ten (10) calendar days upon issuance of the Notice to_ Proceed to begin work, The cdntract period will be in effect from the date of award to no later than thirty {30) days -after Notice-to Proceed. J-2(-2022- NERO' FACIUllEtADM\NISTRATOR DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT: The Bachelors Officer Quarters (BOQ) at FCI Danbury requires a new retaining_wall t6 b6 built as the existing railroad tie retaining wall is showing sig~s of failure. The retaining wall holds the existing decking and footings in place for six of the twelve rooms. The contractor shall remove and dispose approximately 55' x 3' of broken railroad ties from the BOQ parking lot and construct approximately 55'x 3'6" precast concrete blocks. The cdntractor shall also construct. approximately lOO'x 4'10" of precast concrete retaining wall adjacent to the front of the.BOQ building, as shown in the attached sketch. The retaining walls are to be constructed of different height due to the contour of the surrounding landscape ensuring the retaining walls holds the existing decking and footings in place and the footing is deep.enough to withstand the local weather conditions. Site Preparation and Excavation: Contractor to ensure the retaining wall site is properly marked and staked. These g:r;ade stakes and elevation hubs, will be the guide for the excavation contractor and will help the retaining wall installer determine the location of the wall. Exercise caution to keep the soil undisturbed in areas that will not need modification during wall construction. Be sure to mark the location of, any below ground utilities including power lines, communication lines, sewer and drainage lines etc. The contractor is responsible to ensure the ground/ soil being retained by the retaining wall is well consolidated and stable prior to starting the construction. Provide proper site/ prep work. Contractor to slope the ground if required for proper drainage. Provide adequate footing to the wall to bear the reiaining wall load. Provide sufficient drainage by providing weep holes as required. Avoid coptinuous vertical joints and provide staggered structural joints. Contractor to ensure the proposed project construction does not adversely affect the existing structure in any way. DESCRIPTION AND SPECIFiICATIONS: Recommended (RECON or similar) Precast Block Sizes: Base Block: 72".x 24" x 16" H, tongue and groove lock (Top) Middle Block: 72" ~ 24" x 16" H, tongue and groove lock Top Block: 72" x 24" x 16" H, tongue and groove lock (Bottom) Corner Block: 24" x 24" x 16" H, tongue and groove lock Half. Block: 36" x-24" x 16" H, tongue and groove lock Concrete strength: 4,000 psi Lifting: Lifting Insert loop Texture/ Appearance: Rustic Crushed stone aggregate sizes: Fine- 3/8", Course- 3/8" to 3/4" Filter Fabric: Heavy duty Polypropylene Black woven GENERAL INFORMATION: The contractor must submit specification sheets, blueprints and or drawings prior to the start of the awarded contract for approval by the Contract Officer Representative. All materials, design, clearance, definitions, construction, workmanship, and testing shall conform to the requirements as stated below: TGD Section 034100-Precast structural concrete TGD Section 034500-Precast ~rchitectural concrete TGD Section 323000-Ge_neral Site improvements TGD Section 312000-Earth moving ASTM Cl50, ASTM C33, ASTM C618, ASTM A615M, AWS Dl.4& ASTM DELILVERY OF MATERIALS All construction related equipment and materials required for the contractor to work on this project will be processed by the contractor and delivered to the contractors approved storage area. Any construction related deliveries which are delivered on site, can be received by the contractor Monday through Friday, excluding Federal Holidays between the hours of 7:00AM - 3:30PM. The contractor will be required to notify ihe COR when a delivery is scheduled and a contractor representative must be present at time of delivery. The warranty period is twelve ( 12) months starting on Date of Substantial Completion of the entire project.
