Each bid must be accompanied by either a bid bond, cash, certified check, or letter of credit, in an amount of 10% of the bid amount with a surety satisfactory to the County of Fayette. Bid Bonds shall be accompanied by Proof of Authority of the official or agent signing the bond. Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in the form of Ohio Revised Code Section 153.571 is included in the bid package as an acceptable option. Bids shall be sealed and marked as Bid for the Lakewood Hills Area Water System Improvements. Attention of bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in this bid packet, particularly to prevailing wage standards, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, and the requirement for a payment bond and performance bond for 100% of the contract price. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio Products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Implementation of American Iron and Steel provisions will be a part of this project. Bidders must comply with the Davis-Bacon prevailing wage rates for Public Improvements in Fayette County, Ohio as described in Section V of the Required Contract Provisions for Federal-Aid Construction Contracts. The DBE Goals for the project are as follows: MBE - 1.3% WBE - 1.0% Bidders shall hold bid prices for up to 75days until construction funds are secured through the program and the contract is signed and Contractor is given the Notice to Proceed.
