Renovation of an educational facility in Oshawa, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

- The University of Ontario Institution of Technology (herein "Ontario Tech") is accepting proposals to complete the change out of the existing lighting and controls within two of the large lecture halls in our UA west building. - Light fixtures and controls will be supplied by Ontario Tech, but the successful Proponent will be responsible for all cabling and conduit work required to complete the install. All equipment that is supplied by the University is currently onsite in locked storage. - Currently, the lighting control system is a "Strand" centralized system with podium interfaces and entrance wall stations. All dimming and controls are currently line voltage phase dimming but will be converted to a distributed low voltage 0-10v diming system, using the Enlighted technology. The Proponent will be response for: - Removal of existing fixtures and controls, and relocated to the "farm" for recycling. - Replacement of all fixtures and devices with the new versions provided by Ontario Tech. - Installation of new network cards for podium controls/integration. - Removal and installation of new strand bypass modules. - Installation of all conduit and wire required to achieve the desired layout and configuration. - Replacement of the current strand modules with the updated versions supplied by Ontario Tech. - Installation of localized emergency relays for applicable fixtures. - Coordination with manufacturers field service for capturing pre-existing programmed light levels and carrying these settings over to the new system. - Tie-in with the existing touchscreen interfaces via contact closures. - Coordination and installation of network cabling as required by the Ontario Tech. - Application of reasonable judgement regarding sensor positioning, and site conditions that may interfere with proposed plans. - Communication and agreement with the manufacturer to deliver an optimal solution. - Phased installation of each room in its entirety is recommended for workflow. - Scheduling manufacturer field service. Delivery: - The Proponent will coordinate with Ontario Tech for equipment delivery. The Proponent will be responsible for off-loading. Should the Institution not be ready for the equipment the Proponent shall unload and store the equipment at their cost. - Products shall be shrink wrapped for shipping and to allow for outdoor storage on site (where applicable). - The Proponent will be responsible for delivery and off-loading. Should Ontario Tech not be ready for the products the Proponent shall unload and store the equipment at their cost. - Proponent will be responsible for any costs incurred by Ontario Tech for late/delayed delivery of equipment to the site where the Proponent is responsible for the delay. - Proponent will be responsible for any costs incurred by Ontario Tech as a result of damages to facility or equipment during delivery and commissioning. - Delivery at Place Unloaded (DPU) Incoterms, 2020 shall apply. Successful Proponent (seller) bears all costs and risks involved in bringing the goods to, and unloading them at the named place of destination.
