This flood reduction project is identified in the Hennepin County hazard mitigation plan and would require funding from Mn Dept of Public Safety Homeland Security and Emergency Management Division (75% grant funding) and Three Rivers Park District (for regional trail). This project is also identified in the BCWMC CIP and includes water quality improvements to protect and improve Bassett Creek. Planning study scheduled for 2025. This project is in included in the City of Golden Valley FY 2022-2031 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of April 9, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
