Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in North Canton, Ohio. Conceptual plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The goal of this project is to expand parking capabilities and improve the roadways on the Green AASF1 and FMS National Guard site to accommodate personal and military working vehicles. Design and build a new parking area to accommodate 100 passenger vehicles; repair or replace and widen the main entrance roadway to accommodate convoy vehicle queuing (~600'); correct grading and or slope to eliminate issue with runoff and ice retention; Mill and fill large parking lot (323 existing spaces) North of the hanger building. Remove unnecessary concrete pads and bollards; reorient and construct dumpster pads with enclosures; Mill and fill 900' roadway behind the armory, extend the drive and add a loading dock in the org parking. Geotechnical engineering is needed to determine depth of repair needed in selected areas as determined by the civil engineer. This facility serves Ohio in readiness for the mission of the National Guard. The project intent is to improve the operational readiness of the soldiers. The proposed work will be of permanent construction and will extend the useful life of the facilities. For projects advertised with an appropriately developed Program of Requirements ("POR"), upon award of the Agreement, commence with Design. A POR has not been developed for this project. The selected A/E, as a portion of its required Scope of Services and prior to submitting its proposals, will discuss and clarify with the Owner and/or the Contracting Authority, the cost breakdown of the Architect/Engineer Agreement detailed cost components to address the Owner's project requirements. Participate in the Encouraging Diversity, Growth& Equity (EDGE) Program as required by statute and the Agreement. As required by the Agreement, and as properly authorized, provide the following categories of services: Program Verification, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Document Preparation, Bid and Award Support, Conformed Documents, Construction Administration, Post-Construction, and Additional Services of all types. Estimated Basic Fee Range 9% to 11% F. EDGE Participation Goal Percent of initial Total A/E Fee: 5.0%
