As of May 3, 2023, project was awarded to Precision Engineering & Contracting, Inc. awarded amount is $3,802,144.07. Work will include construction of a new 40-foot-long bridge over Spencer Creek, a new 115-foot-long waterfront boardwalk, approximately 90 feet of stepped waterfront revetment along the Lake Erie shoreline, approximately 60 feet of armor stone revetment, and upland work including a vehicular turnaround circle, concrete plaza, rain garden, lighting, and appurtenant utilities. Two additive alternate bids will also be received for (1) construction of a 600-foot-long driveway/parking lot extending from the vehicular turnaround to Lake Road, and (2) construction of gateway walks and landscaping. Each proposal must contain the full name of party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested in same and be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the form of either a Bond in an amount equal to one-hundred percent (100%) of the total bid drawn in favor of the City of Rocky River, or a consent of surety together with a certified or cashier's check or letter of credit on a solvent bank in Cuyahoga County made payable to the City of Rocky River in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid as prescribed in Ohio Revised Code Section 153.54. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity.
