The work in this contract is for the Sanitary Sewer Phase 75 Rehabilitation at Honey Oaks for Clear Lake City Water Authority located at the intersection of Kirby Boulevard and Old Kirby Road, near 1200 Kirby Rd., Seabrook, TX 77586. The purpose of this project is to redirect sanitary sewer force mains to prevent high flow in the existing sanitary sewer system. The existing 6-inch force main from Lift Stations No. 20 and 21 and the existing 6-inch force main from Lift Station No. 22 will be rerouted to a proposed manhole on the west side of Kirby Boulevard. The flow from the force mains will then gravity to a proposed manhole and tie into the existing sanitary sewer system downstream. In general, this work consists of: 1. Installation of new 6-inch green AWWA C-900 PVC sanitary sewer force main by trenchless construction, including all restrained joints, bends, and fittings, to reroute the existing force main from Lift Stations No. 20 and 21. 2. Installation of new 6-inch green AWWA C-900 PVC sanitary sewer force main by trenchless construction, including all restrained joints, bends, and fittings, to reroute the existing force main Lift Station No. 22. 3. Installation of new 18-inch green SDR 26 gravity sanitary sewer pipe, including connection to existing sanitary sewer manhole. 4. Installation of a new pre-cast concrete corrosion resistant sanitary sewer manhole to serve as the discharge point for the force mains from Lift Stations No. 20, 21 and 22. 5. Installation of a new pre-cast concrete sanitary sewer manhole. 6. Reconnecting the new 6-inch sanitary sewer force main into the existing system by wet connection. 7. Cutting, capping, and abandoning of existing 6-inch sanitary sewer force main. 8. Implementation of trench safety. 9. Site restoration of disturbed areas including replacing concrete pavement, damaged or removed turf, plants, shrubs, trees, fences, and gates. 10. Implementation and maintenance of traffic control plan. Each bid shall be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check or certified check in the amount equal to ten percent (10%) of total base bid. If certified or cashier's check is used as bid security, check must be drawn on a responsible bank located in the State of Texas and made payable to Owner only. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or minor defects and to reject any or all bids. In case of the lack of clarity or ambiguity in prices, the Owner reserves the right to accept the most advantageous or reject the bid. The successful bidder will be required to provide payment and performance bonds in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price.
