Your cooperation is appreciated. SCOPE: The purpose of this Competitive Sealed Proposal is to establish a competitive contract for general maintenance and trades work based on labor costs and contractor mark-up of materials for Plano Independent School District (Plano ISD). All contractors supplying prices shall be established contractors whose primary business is either general maintenance contract work or trades contract work. Contractors will use the highest quality of materials and installation techniques. All contractors agree to provide material and service as soon as reasonably possible upon receipt of a purchase order. In the event the successful contractor is unable to provide services during the time frame required by Plano ISD, Plano ISD has the right to use another contractor that can meet the response time. This contract will be used on an "As Needed" basis, with no known pending general maintenance projects. ANNUAL EXPENDITURE: The estimated expenditure for this contract is approximately $700,000 per year. However, this estimate should not be construed to be a guarantee of either minimum or maximum since usage is dependent upon actual needs and available funding. This estimate may be exceeded by 25% annually. TERM: This bid will be firm for two (2) year from date of award, with the option to be renewed for three (3) additional years, in one (1) year increments, provided all prices remain firm and both parties agree. Plano ISD has the option to extend this RFP at the end of the performance period for up to 120 days if determined to be in the best interest of the district to ensure availability of products and/or services. WARRANTY: All material provided to the District shall be fully guaranteed by the Contractor against factory defects. Any defects which may occur as the result of either faulty material or workmanship by the manufacturer within the period of the manufacturer's standard warranty shall be corrected by the Contractor at no expense to the District. The Contractor shall make evidence of all manufacturers' warranties available upon demand. No date other than the date of final acceptance may be established to govern the effective date of the Guaranty, unless that date is agreed upon by the District and the Contractor in writing.
