The Engineer's Estimate for this Work is $8,950,000. The Work involves the construction of two new Parkson denitrification filters, retrofit of four existing Parkson tertiary filters into Parkson denitrification filters, interconnection of the new and retrofit filters, construction and installation of two new chemical tanks including tank foundation, access catwalk and dosing system, replacement of four 100 HP oxidation ditch surface aerators, modification and expansion of an existing electrical room, and includes demolition and proper disposal, electrical system improvements, startup, testing, and site restoration while maintaining continuous wastewater treatment operations until the work is complete and fully operational. The District will provide the Parkson denitrification filter components for installation in the Work. The Bidder's Security shall be in an amount that is at least ten percent (10%) of the aggregate amount of the Bidder's Bid.The Bidder that is awarded the Contract (the "Successful Bidder") shall be required to obtain the insurance required by the Contract Documents and to furnish a faithful performance bond and a payment bond which shall each be at least one-hundred percent (100%) of the total amounts payable by the terms of the Contract.
