Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Johnston, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; road / highway; road / highway; and water / sewer project.

Construction of the NW 54TH STREET ROAD DIET including all materials, labor and equipment necessary for the installation of approximately: 650 CY of grading, 590 LF of PCC curb and gutter, 220 SY of PCC median, 3040 SY of milling, 2700 SY of asphalt overlay, 400 SY of PCC sidewalk, 2 storm sewer intakes, 11.6 STA of pavement markings, and other miscellaneous work (pavement and sidewalk removal, modular block retaining wall removal, storm sewer removal, traffic control, erosion control, and surface restoration). The work shall be performed at NW 54th Street from Foxboro Road to the Lew Clarkson Park entrance. The bidders security shall be in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid and shall be in the form of a cashiers check or a certified check drawn on an FDIC insured bank in Iowa or on an FDIC insured bank chartered under the laws of the United States; or a certified share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States; or a bid bond on the form provided in the contract documents with corporate surety satisfactory to the City. Work on said project shall commence within ten (10) days of a written notice to proceed. The notice to proceed is anticipated to be issued June 4, 2025. The work shall be completed as follows: Substantial completion of all work, shall be completed by August 22, 2025. Liquidated damages will be assessed at the rate of Seven Hundred fifty dollars ($750.00) for each calendar day after the August 22, 2025 date that the work remains incomplete.
