Overview of the Work/Service Required Grading works will consist of a multi pass system, starting by re-establishing and bringing up fines from the inside ditch, then pulling up fines from the outside fill, followed by multiple passes to blade all large rocks off the road driving surface. No berms or voids are to be left on the road surface. Road surface is to be compacted with wobbly wheel packer as grading commences. A swamper, with his own pick up, is to work in conjunction with the grader to place signage, direct traffic, pre-mark culvert intakes and outlets, removed rocks on the driving surface, clean out culvert intakes/outlets after grading, buck out leaners over ditch and road, clean off bridge decks, etc. See Schedule "C"-Methods and Standards, for all work requirements. Program Information In this contract, the Ministry of Forests, Selkirk Resource District-Engineering, is grading Forest Service Roads that access rural residences, communities or High Value Recreation Sites and Trails (i.e.-not for industrial, high clearance, 4WD vehicles). The Forest Service Roads specified in this contract are being graded and maintained to safely accommodate the public with its various vehicle types, including two-wheel drive, small, low clearance cars/SUV's, vans, campers, motor homes and trailers. Grading standards included in this contract are therefore set to a high standard to ensure the safety of all its users and vehicle types. Tender has been cancelled.
