- The University of Ontario Institution of Technology (herein "Ontario Tech") is accepting proposals to increase renewable energy generation on campus with a photovoltaic (PV) array at our newest building on campus the Shawenjigewining Hall, aligning with the institutions plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The scope of work will include the supply, install and commissioning of the roof mounted solar PV array. - The Proponent will provide a complete roof mounted, grid-tied embedded Solar Photovoltaic (PV) distributed generation (DG) system, including supply of materials, installation and commissioning. Ontario Tech will be responsible for the procurement and delivery of PV modules and Inverters described in the Associated Bid Documents. Ontario Tech will be responsible for the hand-off of specified equipment to the Proponent on-site, which at that time the Proponent will take all responsible for the equipment and be responsible to move the specified equipment to the installation location. - The project has been engineered (electrically), and Connection Impact Assessment (CIA) has been submitted and approved by Oshawa PUC for a threshold that includes sufficient capacity to accept this building PV System as embedded generation. - The Proponent shall be responsible for furnishing and installing an operational solar photovoltaic system. - The Proponent will be responsible for installing racking, modules, inverters, wiring and raceways and the balance of system. - The Proponent will be responsible for providing Megger Insulation Resistance Testing and Open Circuit Voltage test results and to work with the Solar Engineer to complete COVER testing. - The racking engineering including structural connection details are to be provided for by the Proponent in a shop drawings submission stamped/sealed by Professional Engineer Licensed to practice in Ontario.
