Sharon Heights Trail Repair - Trail Replacement in Sharon Heights Park Bids presented for consideration by the Urbandale City Council at its meeting at 6:00 p.m. May 3, 2022 in the City Council Chambers, 3600 86 th Street, Urbandale, IA 50322. Failure to submit a fully completed Bidder Status Form with the bid may result in the bid being deemed nonresponsive and rejected. The City of Urbandale reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as security that the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the work bid upon and will furnish after the award of contract a corporate surety bond, in a form acceptable to the City, for the faithful performance of the contract, in an amount equal to one hundred percent of the amount of the contract. The bid security must be in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount including all add alternates (do not deduct the amount of deduct alternates). Bid security shall be in the form of a cashier's check or a certified check drawn on an FDIC insured bank in chartered under the laws of the state of Iowa or on an FDIC insured bank chartered under the laws of the United States; or a certified share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States; or a bid bond on the form provided in the contract documents with corporate surety satisfactory to the City. The bid security shall contain no additional conditions either in the body or as an endorsement thereon, except as provided by law. Contractors and subcontractors shall not include sales tax for material purchases. At the time of the contract acceptance by the City Council, the prime contractor and all subcontractors will be issued a certificate of exemption. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price The SHARON HEIGHTS TRAIL REPAIR shall include: o Approximately 1,700 SY of Removal of Trail HMA o Approximately 1,600 SY of PCC Trail o Related items including removals, restoration, traffic control, erosion control, and survey. Contractor shall fully complete the project by September 16, 2022.
