Description

Renovation of an educational facility in Newport News, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The project is generally described as a boiler replacement and water heater replacement at CNU. The work includes removal of two 5,000 MBH gas-fired boilers and associated hot water circulating pumps with a new boiler plant system sized at a N+1 redundancy configuration for the Boiler Replacement. The water heater replacement consists of removal of two existing tank type gas fired water heaters and two gas fired boilers and replacement with four new high efficiency condensing water heaters, and three new domestic water storage tanks. Heating hot water previously supplied by the two gas fired boilers will be supplied by existing 5,000 MBH boilers that supply the rest of the building. No modifications have been made to the existing sprinklers, fire dampers, smoke dampers, or space use A Bid Bond is required. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids. All pre-bid questions must be received no later than April 25, 2022.
