The work to be done under this contract consists, in general, of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, incidentals, and for doing all work necessary for improving pedestrian crossings with curb extensions, accessible curb ramps, high visibility crosswalks, and advanced pavement markings, as well as other items and details not mentioned above but described in these Special Provisions or shown on the Plans or Contract Documents or as designated by the engineer. No pre-bid conference or walk-through will be held for the purpose of reviewing and answering questions regarding this Project. Award of this contract requires a valid California contractor's license with the classification identified above Any questions or clarifications on the plans that may require a formal bid addendum must be submitted by 5:00 pm on April 21, 2022. The City will review the questions and issue a bid addendum if necessary. Questions submitted after April 21, 2022 may not generate a formal response. CONTRACTOR LICENSE REQUIRED: General Engineering Contractor, Class A Each bid must be submitted on the bid forms provided in the Contract Documents. Each bid must also be accompanied by security in the form of a bid bond issued by a corporate surety, a certified check or cashier's check payable to the City of Rancho Cordova, or cash for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the aggregate sum of the bid. The successful bidder shall be required to execute a Material and Labor Payment Bond and Performance Bond, issued by a corporate surety, acceptable to the City of Rancho Cordova, each for not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Time for completion of the work is 60 working days from the date of issuance as stated in the Notice to Proceed by the City The City of Rancho Cordova reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in any bid, and to determine which bid, in their judgment, is the lowest responsive bid of a responsible bidder
