Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Christiansburg, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

The intent and purpose of this Invitation for Sealed Bid is to establish a contract with one qualified source that can provide a bus loop and utility relocation for Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS). While these projects are presented as two separate site plans, the work is to be conducted congruently. The work under this project consists of the construction of a new bus loop and parking area at the South side of the Christiansburg High School along Independence Boulevard including associated storm drainage systems and an underground ADS StormTech detention system, as well as the construction of approximately 1500 linear feet of ductile iron waterline, approximately 1650 linear feet of PVC gravity sewer, and associated appurtenances such as valves and fire hydrant assemblies. III. SCOPE OF SERVICE A. All bids must meet the requirements stated in this solicitation and the attached drawings. B. The Contractor shall obtain all permits necessary for this project at no additional cost to MCPS. C. Attachments B and C combined incorporate the entire project. D. The attached drawings are currently under review at the Town of Christiansburg. E. A third party testing firm will be hired by MCPS for this project. IV. CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS A. By signing this bid document, the Contractor agrees that he/she has examined and carefully studied the contract documents and other related data identified in the bid documents. B. The Contractor shall comply with all federal, state and local laws, codes and regulations that may apply to this project. C. By signing this bid document the Contractor agrees that he/she has visited the sites and has become familiar with and is satisfied as to the general, local and site conditions that may affect cost, progress and performance of the work.
