PURPOSE This is a Request for Information and Letters of Interest (RFI) and is not a commitment on the part of St. Johns County ("County") to enter into any contract. This RFI is intended to gain information from vendors, suppliers and/or contractors regarding the specifications and capabilities of the equipment described in this document. Respondents shall not prepare or submit detailed proposals in response to this request. Respondents should provide basic information regarding submersible wastewater pumps by submitting their responses to the questions provided. Respondents may be contacted by the County to discuss their responses. Any information collected through this RFI process may or may not be used in the future to develop a solicitation for proposals or bids. Providing a response to the County does not in any way give an advantage to any vendor. The County will review and analyze information received in response to this RFI to determine the feasibility of issuing a competitive solicitation for these products/services. Any request for cost information will be used solely to gain a perspective of the potential budgetary magnitude. Responses to this request will be reviewed for informational purposes only and will not result in the award of a contract. Vendors submitting a response to this RFI are not prohibited from responding to any related subsequent solicitation. Respondents are responsible for any and all costs associated with developing and submitting a response to this RFI. Respondents are also solely responsible for any and all costs associated with interviews and/or presentations requested by the County. It is expressly understood, no Respondent may seek or claim any award and/or re-imbursement from the County for any expenses, costs, and/or fees (including attorneys' fees) borne by any Respondent, during the entire RFI process. Such expenses, costs, and/or fees (including attorneys' fees) are the sole responsibility of the Respondent PART II: RFI SUBMITTAL INSTRUCTIONS & FORMAT A. DUE DATE & LOCATION Responsesto this Request for Information must be delivered to Mrs. April Bacon, Procurement Coordinator, via email to abacon@sjcfl.us by or before four o'clock (4:00PM) on Thursday, April 21, 2022. B. DESIGNATED POINT OF CONTACT The Designated Point of Contact for this RFI is April Bacon, Procurement Coordinator, abacon@sjcfl.us. In the event the Designated Point of Contact, provided above, is absent, or unavailable for more than three (3) business days, interested firms may contact Leigh Daniels, CPPB, Purchasing Manager, at ldaniels@sjcfl.us. Interested firms SHALL NOT contact any staff member of St. Johns County, including members of the Board of County Commissioners, except the above referenced individual, with regard to this RFI as stated in SJC Purchasing Code 304.6.5 "Procedures Concerning Lobbying". Any such communication shall result in disqualification from consideration for award of a contract for these services. C. SUBMITTAL OF QUESTIONS/INQUIRIES Any and all questions and/or inquiries related to this RFI, shall be directed, in writing, to the Designated Point of Contact by 4:00PM EST on Monday, April 11, 2022. Any questions received after this deadline will not be addressed or clarified by the County, unless it is determined to be in the best interest of the County to do so. The County reserves the right to extend the deadline for RFI submission in order to clarify or answer questions as necessary to serve the best interest of the County.
