Scope : The Burton HVAC, Generator, and Improvements Project (DB-2021-FM-150). - The PARISH hereby agrees to engage the CONTRACTOR to provide the construction activity, products and/or services inclusive in the PARISH's "Bid" identified as "Bid" #DB2021-FM-150. This project involves the removal of the existing chiller towers and air handlers and the installation of new chiller tower and air handler equipment, control components,smoke exhaust system and whole site generator. This project includes entry and exit signs to the property, a new digital display board sign and monument site sign with exterior lighting components. This project may also include additional mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment. Replacement of existing HVAC System. Replacement of Generator. Replacement of aluminum storefront entrance doors with automatic opener. New smoke extraction system inside Coliseum over Arena floor. New exterior site signage A CD (compact disc) containing a complete set of documents may be obtained from the Project Architect. All electronic bids can be submitted online through www.calcasieuparish.gov via Bid Express. *Prime bidders is defined as licensed Building Contractors bidding this job as such. Preference is given to materials, supplies, and provisions that are produced, manufactured, or grown in Louisiana, quality being equal to articles offered by competitors outside the State. If bid is submitted electronically, an electronic bid bond as described in LSA--R.S. 38:2212 E.(1) per the standards adopted by the office of the governor, division of administration and the office of the information technology as provided for in LAC 4:XV.701 will be required. Bids shall be accepted only from contractors who are licensed under LSAR.S. 37:2150-2163 for the classification of Building Construction. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after receipt of bids, except under the provisions of LSA R.S. 38:2214. The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury/Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause as permitted by LA R.S. 38:2214B. The ability of an entity to reject any bid is applicable only when administered in accordance with the Public Bid Law.
