Site work for a water / sewer project in Monroe, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work consists of the installation of approximately 800 linear feet of 12" ductile iron water main; connections to the existing water system; installation of approximately 2 new hydrants; connection of approximately 16 existing water services to newly installed water main; all related valves, fittings and appurtenances; and cutting, removal as necessary, and capping existing 6" and 8" water mains, removal of valve boxes and hydrants on water mains to be abandoned, asphalt and vegetation restoration as described in the Contract Plans and Technical Specifications. Each bid shall be accompanied by an acceptable form of Bid Guarantee in an amount equal to at least five (5) percent of the amount of the Bid payable to the Village of Monroe as a guarantee that if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute the Contract and file acceptable Performance and Labor, Material Payment Bonds, and Certificate(s) of Insurance within ten (10) days after the award of the Contract. The Village of Monroe, hereinafter called the Owner, reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive any formality or technicality in any bid in the interest of the Owner.
