1. Contractor shall provide all materials and labor to perform the following inspection and service work for fire suppression equipment located in County owned and/or operated facilities: a. Provide annual inspections for all portable fire extinguishers; b. Provide and install inspection tags for all extinguishers; c. Recharge extinguishers as necessary; d. Perform pressure tests as required for each extinguisher type; e. Perform twice annual inspection and preventive service for all installed exhaust hood fire suppression systems; 2. Provide written documentation of all work performed within 10 working days of the date of the completion of work at each building; 3. Inspect and maintain all equipment in compliance with all applicable NFPA guidelines and local codes and regulations. 4. Report any deficiencies or inconsistencies regarding the fire suppression equipment to, Scott County Maintenance Coordinator, Chris Still at (563)328-3249. Scott County Facility & Support Services is requesting quotations for fire equipment inspections. Bids must include quotes for annual inspection and quotes for pressure tests when necessary. Please provide pricing for the three (3) year contract and also the cost for the additional two (2) years. Please note any cost savings per year between the 3 and 5 year contracts. Billing will be on an annual basis and billed by location. Please itemize quote by location, device and service. Include pricing for any ancillary / regulatory fees that your firm may charge. Any repairs outside of regular inspection costs should be submitted on a separate invoice not combined with inspection service costs. Attachment A includes a listing of equipment and equipment locations. All listings are approximate numbers. Bids should list actual cost for equipment and per unit costs for extinguishers. Actual payment will be based on per unit cost as applied to the actual equipment counts from fieldwork. All work to be completed during normal Scott County business hours (8-4:30, M-F), unless other mutually agreeable arrangements are made in advance. Scott County is under no obligation to accommodate non-business hour arrangements.
