Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Lake City, Florida. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Project is at 153 Southeast Tyre Road, Lake City, Florida 32025. The location borders the southwest corner of the CoreCivic Lake City Youthful Offender Facility. The Work is generally described as the construction of a 0.500-million-gallon-per-day (MGD) (annual average daily flow [AADF]) WWTF with reclaimed water land applied to a 162-acre restricted-access sprayfield. The sprayfield land is owned by Weyerhauser and an easement will be provided to the County for economic development and job creation within the NFMIP. Weyerhauser is providing the silviculture land forthe NFMIP WWTP effluent spray-field to the County for an interim period (5 to 10 years). The associated WWTF will serve NFMIP customers and will include construction of a 0.500-MGD AADF, Category 1, Class C, 4-Stage Bardenpho package WWTF, which includes headworks, equalization tanks, waste sludge aerobic digesters, and associated pumps, blowers, and appurtenances. The WWTF will meet the Santa Fe Best Management Action Plan (BMAP) requirements to produce reclaimed water with a Total-Nitrogen (TN) of less than or equal to 3.0 milligrams per liter of TN (mg/L-TN) on an Average Annual Basis For further information or clarification, email bccpurchasing@columbiacountyfla.com The work general includes but is not limited to the following: o A master influent pump station designed for Phase 1 peak-hour flow (PHF) of 1.5 MGD, and future PHF of 4.5 MGD. o An influent headworks structure consisting of two mechanical drum screens of 1.5 MGD PHF capacity and a manual bypass screen. o A 1,365,000-million-gallon (MG) WWTF with equalization and configured as a 4-Stage Bardenpho biological nutrient removal (BNR) unit treatment process. The WWTF consists of the following: o Two 211,000-gallon equalization tanks for a total volume of 422,000 gallons. o Two 74,000-gallon Stage 1 anoxic zones for a total volume of 148,000 gallons. o An internal recycle (nitrate recycle) pump station of 3.0 MGD (anoxic recycle ratio of 300 to 600% of influent Q). o Two 187,000-gallon aeration zones with fine-bubble diffusers and positive-displacement (PD) blowers for a total volume of 374,000 gallons. o Two 35,500-gallon second anoxic basins and two 5,000-gallon re-aeration basins for a total of 81,000 gallons. o Two secondary clarifiers of 89,000 gallons each and 881 square feet each of surface area for a total volume of 178,000 gallons. o Two aerobic digesters of 81,000 gallons each for a total volume of 162,000 gallons. o Addition of supplemental carbon feed system to optimize the TN removal capabilities for the 4-Stage BNR WWTF. o A cast-in-place chlorine contact tank (CCT) split into two 75,000-gallon chambers for a total volume of 150,000 gallons; disinfection is achieved by a chemical feed system using sodium hypochlorite. o A clearwell at the end of the CCT contains two 700 gallons per minute (gpm) reclaimed water transfer pumps connecting to a lined 1.5-MG reclaimed water storage pond to allow 3 days of storage at the design AADF. o A plant drain pump station and associated gravity collection system for retreatment and recycle of miscellaneous plant drains and sanitary flows
