Site work and renovation of a civil project in Apopka, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

As of July 9, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established. furnish all labor, materials, services, supplies, tools, equipment, transportation and facilities necessary to plug and abandon existing production wells No. 1 and No. 2, to install complete and operable mechanical equipment and to modify and test production well No. 3 for water supply at the City of Apopka Plymouth Regional Water Plant, as indicated in Attachment A, Technical Specifications and Attachment B Drawings. The above-ground wellhead features of Wells No. 1 and No. 2 will be demolished and the subsurface well casings will be plugged and abandoned. At Well No. 3, the above-ground wellhead features will be demolished, and the well will be modified and deepened to 1,400 feet in the LFA. Modifications to Well No. 3 will also include a new well casing, well pump, above-ground well discharge assembly and new the electrical and control equipment. It is assumed that the water quality of the proposed LFA Well No.3, will be such that no changes to the treatment process at the WTP will be required. It is also assumed that the capacity of the deepened well will be increased from 400 to approximately 1,500 GPM. Substantial Completion Days: 240 Final Completion Days: 30 Total Days: 270 Bidder must agree to commence work on date to be specified in a written "Notice to Proceed" of the City and to fully complete the project within the consecutive calendar days indicated under the scope of work thereafter. Bidder must agree also to pay as liquidated damages, the sum of $500 for each consecutive calendar day thereafter as hereinafter provided in the General Conditions. Payment & Performance bond in the amount of 100% of the total bid price within ten (10) days from the date of notification of award. The project is included in the City of Apopka's FY 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of October 20, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The City in its sole discretion, reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, accept any proposal or any combination of proposals or waive any minor irregularity or technicality in proposals received and may, at its sole discretion, request a re-proposal, when in its sole judgment, it will best serve public interest.
