Renovation of a municipal facility in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
This is a Request for Proposal (Bid #6081) for (1) the design of an ADA compliant elevator in a new exterior elevator shaft and addition, and (2) the design of retrofits to the existing street-level storefronts to comply with ADA requirements at 194 Main Street, Woonsocket, RI 02895 (a.k.a. the Longley Building). The goal of this RFP is to secure a qualified architect or architectural firm to design said improvements. The project is funded, in part, by U.S. HUD Community Development Block Grant funds. As such, associated Federal rules and regulations apply, including, but not limited to, Davis Bacon wage requirements. The project will be managed by the Department of Planning & Development. Sealed proposals shall be hand-delivered to Jessica Desrochers, Purchasing Clerk, at City Hall or mailed to Ms. Desrochers. Submissions must include four (4) paper copies. Envelops shall be clearly marked, ADA Improvements - 194 Main Street - Bid #6081. Questions concerning this RFP must be submitted via email no later than April 18, 2022 to Kevin Proft at kproft@woonsocketri.org. Questions received after the deadline will not be answered. The Department of Planning & Development will select the firm it determines to be most qualified and responsible. Proposals will be evaluated based on relevant factors, including, but not limited to, cost. The City of Woonsocket reserves the right to reject any and all responses, or parts thereof, and to waive any irregularity in the responses received. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
