Notice is hereby given to bid on a Mechanical Contract for construction of a Chiller Upgrade at the Provident Life Building on 316 North 5th Street in Bismarck, North Dakota as described in the Contract Documents as prepared by Prairie Engineering, P.C., Bismarck, North Dakota, Engineer. General work will consist of incidental work associated with the installation of the Chiller and Pumps, including but not limited to, concrete equipment pads or pad extensions. Mechanical work will consist of removal of the existing chiller and chilled water pumps, installation of a new chiller and condenser water pumps including VFDs and controls for each, system piping as required for installing the new equipment, and new valves and pipe accessories as required for a fully functional installation. Electrical work will consist of incidental work associated with disconnecting existing power and providing electrical power to the new mechanical equipment. A pre-bid walk-through meeting will be scheduled in the first addendum. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities and to accept or reject any or all Bids. Each Bid must be accompanied by a separate envelope containing a Bidders Bond in a sum equal to five percent of the full amount of the Bid, executed by the Bidder as Principal and by a Surety Company authorized to do business in this State, conditioned that if the Principal's Bid be accepted and the Contract awarded to the Principal, the Principal, within ten days after notice of award, will execute and effect a Contract in accordance with the terms of the Principals Bid and a Contractors Bond as required by law and the regulations and determinations of the governing board. All Bidders must be licensed for the highest amount of their Bids, as provided by Section 43-07-12 of the ND Century Code. No Bid will be read or considered which does not fully comply with the above provisions as to Bond and Licenses, and any deficient Bid submitted will be resealed and returned to the Bidder immediately. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within 30 days after the actual opening of Bids.
