NY005213F All questions related to this RFQ are to be submitted via email to the CPD Procurement Unit at cpd.procurement@nycha.nyc.gov with the RFQ number as the Subject line by no later than 2:00 p.m. on May 9, 2022 Proposers will be permitted to ask additional questions at the Proposers Conference. Responses to all submitted questions will be available for public viewing in Sourcing under the RFQ. Goal for participation of women: 6.9% The Work under the State - Phase II-B Boiler Replacements at Marcy Houses, Brooklyn NY Contract as indicated on the Drawings and further described in these Specifications Covers Building #9 and Building #29 Building No. 9: 603-605 Park Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11206 Building No. 29: 609 Park Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11206 General: a. Selective demolition and removals of Construction, Site, and Structural items as indicated. b. Sidewalk sheds, temporary chain link or construction fences and tree protection as required to perform work c. Submittal of phasing and safety plans as required in section 01 35 23 NYCHA Site Safety Requirements d. Provide all necessary temporary facilities, services and protections required in applicable Division 01 Sections as required to complete the Work described herein and on the contract documents. e. All demolition and removals described herein are required to complete the Work. f. Salvage of equipment parts: Notify NYCHA in advance of any equipment that will be demolished for salvage g. Provide Temporary Parking facilities for residents during the construction at existing Basketball court on North side of the development facing Flushing Avenue. Work shall include of all court elements, curb cut, modification of fencing and all filings as required. Provide all parking security barriers as specified. h. Provide complete removal of resident's temporary parking facilities upon completion of permanent parking lot and provide complete rehabilitation of existing basketball court. i. Asbestos and Hazmat abatement as shown and/or scheduled. Building #29 a. New above grade boiler room building between existing building# 7 & 11, consisting of boiler room with enclosed spaces for the electrical room, office, toilet and shower, and janitor's closet. b. Pile foundation and concrete slab, stepped concrete on metal deck roof with sloped topping slab. c. Exterior walls of concrete masonry and light-gage steel stud framing. d. Continuous insulation at exterior walls and foundation, extruded polystyrene rigid insulation at lower walls and foundation, mineral wool semi-rigid insulation at upper walls and rainscreen. e. Exterior cladding of face brick, cast stone panels, and fiber cement panel rainscreen. f. Fluid-applied roofing over polyiso insulation at roof, with controlled-flow drains for water detention and overflow scuppers. g. Intumescent fireproofing at steel structure and underside of roof deck, with painted finish coat. h. Firestopping at penetrations as required. i. Hollow metal doors and frames, painted, and door hardware. j. Aluminum curtain wall system for larger openings, with aluminum louvered sunscreen. k. Aluminum storefront framed window openings. l. Interior walls of concrete masonry, with metal stud furring at selected locations, with moisture and impact-resistant gypsum board, and tile finish where indicated. m. Suspended ceilings at interior enclosed rooms, suspended acoustical ceiling and suspended moisture-resistant gypsum board ceiling. WORK LOCATION A. Development: Marcy Houses Construction duration: The Work as described in the Contract Documents shall be completed within 1339 CCDs of the Notice to Proceed.
