Tree and/or brush trimming may be necessary at some locations where trees are designated for removal; tree and/or brush trimming necessary only for accessing trees specified by the Department for removal is incidental to the contract pay items for tree removal and no separate compensation for these activities will be provided. Trimming of trees for other reasons may be occasionally required, and any associated compensation will be in accordance with the contract pruning and trimming pay items. Work also consists of the removal and disposal of waste and debris generated in the performance of this contract. Locations of trees to be removed and/or trimmed will be determined by the Department and provided to the contractor by the issuance of a Work Document on an as-needed basis. Maintenance of Traffic and Mobilization will be incidental to the pay items provided. This contract will have a budgetary ceiling of $200,000.00. The quantities shown on the Bid Price Proposal are approximate and only represent estimated planned requirements based on historical or specific project needs. The Department does not guarantee any maximum or minimum quantity, any range of quantities, or the exact quantities shown for each bid item. The Departments estimated quantities and the Contractors bid price will be used to calculate a total bid amount. This total bid amount will then be used to determine the low bidder; however, actual payment under the awarded contract will be based on actual quantities completed. For this Contract in which specific sites are not identified at the time of letting, the Engineer will issue a Work Document.
