As of April 14, 2022, this project is in pre-design phase. A firm timeline for construction has not been determined. Engineer firm information has not been disclosed. Located at 1475 West Taylor Road, Century Park is a 12.5 acre facility that houses a basketball court, playground, picnic tables, and various open space for Romeoville residents. The useful life span of the park has been exceeded as the playground is now 22 years old and certain components are deteriorating. Replacing the damaged and worn structure will help increase safety at the park by providing a safe play space. Maintenance and operating costs will also decrease as the constant need for part replacement will stop. This project is included in the Village of Romeoville's FY 2023-2027 CIP and funding is allocated for FY 2023. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
