As of June 6, 2022 This project is awarded to Builder Solutions, Inc. with awarded amount of $404,290.50. This project will install dual level II electric vehicle (EV) chargers at the City of Redding Police Department (at 855 Cypress Ave.) and City of Redding Power Plant (at 17120 Clear Creek Rd.) for City Police Department and fleet vehicles. In addition, facilities will be installed at the Redding Police Department to allow for future expansion of electrical vehicle charging with more level II and level III fast chargers. There are 80 working days. Each bid shall be made in accordance with the specifications and proposal requirements thereof and no bid will be received unless it is made on a proposal form furnished by the City Engineer. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, certified or cashier's check, or original bidder's bond made payable to the City of Redding for an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid as a guarantee that the contractor will execute the contract in conformance with his proposal and the specifications. Such guarantee shall be forfeited should the bidder to whom the contract is awarded fail to enter into the contract. The City of Redding hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, all businesses will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, gender, disability, or other protected class in consideration for an award. The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, any proposal which is incomplete, illegible, or irregular may be rejected; any proposal having erasures or corrections in the price sheet may be rejected; any proposal in which the unit price is omitted or in which the unit price is obviously unbalanced may be rejected; any proposal accompanied by an insufficient or irregular bid security may be rejected.
