The lowest responsive bidder must have completed, or successfully complete, a Highway Construction, Paving, or project specific prequalification to be considered for the award of this contract. Description: Maine Federal Aid Project Nos. 2412100, WIN 24121.00, 2511900, WIN 251 19.00, & 2552700, WIN 25527.00. Location: In York County: Project 2412100 is located on Route 236 beginning in Kittery at the I-95 overpass and extending north 10.43 miles to Route 4 in South Berwick. Includes 0.63 miles on Route 236S. Project 2511900 is located on Route 4 beginning in North Berwick 0.12 of a mile north of Lebanon Road in North Berwick and extending north 7.02 miles to Country Club Road 1 in Sanford. Project 2552700 is located on Route 236 in Eliot in two locations: Location one is located 0.01-mile northwest of Sanborn Lane and extending northwest 0.06 mile for southbound/eastbound traffic. Location two is located 0.23 mile southeast of Depot Road and extending northwest 0.06 mile for northbound/westbound traffic. Outline of Work Pavement Milling, Hot-In-Place Recycling, Hot Mix Asphalt Overlay, with Drainage and Safety Improvements, and other incidental work. The basis of award will be Section 1 Only. Questions received after 12:00 noon of Monday (or if that Monday is a state holiday, Friday) prior to bid date will not be answered. Bidders shall not contact any other Departmental staff for clarification of Contract provisions, and the Department will not be responsible for any interpretations so obtained. Each Bid must be made upon blank forms provided by the Department and must be accompanied by a bid bond at 5% of the bid amount or an official bank check, cashier's check, certified check, certificate of deposit, or United States postal money order in the amount of 5% of the bid amount, payable to Treasurer, State of Maine as a Bid guarantee. A Contract Performance Surety Bond and a Contract Payment Surety Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price, will be required of the successful Bidder. This Contract is subject to all applicable Federal Laws. This contract is subject to compliance with the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise program requirements as set forth by the Maine Department of Transportation. The right is hereby reserved to the MaineDOT to reject any or all bids. MEDOT - Pavement Milling, Hot-In-Place Recycling, Hot Mix Asphalt Overlay, with Drainage and Safety Improvements - Region 1 We now accept electronic bids for bid packages posted on the website. Electronic bids do not have to be accompanied by paper bids. Please note: The Department will accept a facsimile of the bid bond; however, the original bid bond must then be received at the MDOT Contract Section within 72 hours of the bid opening. Until further notice, dual bids (one paper, one electronic) will be accepted, with the paper copy taking precedence.
