Bidders shall be prequalified by the New Jersey Division Property Management and Construction in the trade categories listed below, or name such prequalified subcontractors: Trade Category # Title C008 or C009 General Construction or General Construction Additions and Alterations The Project generally includes: Alterations to the building's existing first floor with the existing first floor slab and CMU perimeter walls to remain; modifications to the existing foundation/footing system to increase bearing capacity; existing electrical service upgrade; new emergency generator; new 2nd floor addition; modifications to the existing patio overhang structure to create a new exterior deck; subsequent site sanitary infrastructure improvements; minor parking lot/site improvements Final day for Questions to the Architect: 16 may 2022 Notice of Award: Tuesday, June 7, 2022 Notice to Proceed, on or about: Thursday June 16, 2022 Site Mobilization: Monday, June 27, 2022 Substantial Completion: Friday, December 16, 2022 Final Completion: Friday, January 27, 2023 All questions shall be submitted in writing and will be responded through Addenda sent to all bidders via email and/or facsimile by Monday May 16, 2022 at 5:00 PM Each bid must be accompanied by (i) all documents listed on the Bid Document Submission Checklist, as applicable, and (ii) a bid guarantee in an amount not less than Ten Percent (10%) of the total bid price as established in the Bid, not to exceed Twenty Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($20,000.00). The bid guarantee must be in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check, must be drawn to the order of Edgewater Park Township and must be delivered simultaneous with the sealed bid. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., N.J.A.C.17:27, and all other applicable laws referenced within the drawings, specifications and contract documents. The Township of Edgewater Park reserves the right to (i) reject all bids pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2 and (ii) to waive minor informalities and/or non-material exceptions in any bid should it be in the interest of the Township of Edgewater Park to do so. Further, Edgewater Park Township shall reject any bid that contains material nonconformities or conditions or which is materially nonresponsive. In the event Edgewater Park Township does not reject all bids as permitted under N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-4, and other applicable laws, the Project will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder.
