BC Parks of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy is seeking quotes from contractors for works related to upgrades and improvements to the Chuck Creek Trail to the Samuel Glacier in the Tatshenshini-Alsek Provincial Park, 140 km south of Haines Junction on Yukon Highway 3. The trail is approximately 10.5 km in length. The current trail alignment requires brushing, drainage and ditching. Beyond 7.5km, some new route selection and trail construction may be required. A mix of equipment and hand based work is required. It is expected that some material (e.g. aggregate) will be flown in via helicopter. The contractor must be self-sufficient as the area is remote and no services are available. Documents can be obtained from www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca.
