Renovation of an educational facility in Guelph, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
OVC Backflow Prevention, Building 049, OVC Animal Cancer Centre at the University of Guelph. Provide services for the separation of potable and non-potable water within the OVC building #049, include removal of the existing asbestos wrapped water heating tank, installation of new semi-instantaneous water heater and meter, and all scope from drawings (049M034, 1-4) related to the design of the backflow prevention. Complete two (2) cross-connection surveys, one prior to starting the work to verify the water to all sources and a second survey after work is complete. Include scope and all allowances as described below: 1) $7,500 to provide services for the electrical work required to connect and power the Endress & Hauser Mag Meter, new water heater and recirculation pump. 2) $6,700 to provide BAS controls for functioning and monitoring for the new water heater. 3) $15,500 for the removal of the asbestos abatement of the water tank and surrounding piping, and removal of the asbestos abatement within the tunnel for installation of the backflow devices and meter. Installation and verification, including cross connection survey, of backflow system to be completed by August 19th, 2022. All work shall include scheduling with a University representative and shall be in accordance with the University standards. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com
