The principle work to be performed under this contract consists of the construction of approximately 4,600 LF of waterline and associated appurtenances. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond payable to the Owner for five (5) percent of the total amount of his bid. A Certified Check in the amount of not less than five (5) percent of the bid amount may be submitted in lieu of a Bid Bond. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred (100) percent of the Contract Price, with a corporate surety approved by the Owner, will be required for the faithful performance of the contract. The OWNER reserves the right to waive irregularities and informalities in bids received and to reject any and all bids and to award the contract where it appears to be in the best interest of the Owner. Bidders must be properly licensed as a Contractor in the State of Virginia. Bidder's Contractor's license number must be on the outside of the bid package.
