Renovation of a municipal facility in Sayreville, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Sealed bids will be received for the following contract(s): Overall Single Prime (General Construction, all of the work, Lump Sum, All Trades, All Inclusive).All bids must be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the form of either a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond drawn to the order of the Borough for not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount of the bid, but not in excess of Twenty Thousand ($20,000) Dollars.Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-22, the successful contractor shall furnish the Borough with a 100% (of the contract amount) Performance Bond and 100% (of the contract amount) Labor and Material Payment and Completion Bond issued by the Contractor's insurance carrier / surety, for the purpose of guaranteeing the faithful fulfillment of the Agreement. This bond shall meet the requirements of N.J.S.A. 2A: 44-143 through 147, entitled "Bonds of Contractors on Public Works and Improvements." Bids must be submitted on the proposal forms in the manner designated, enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the Bidder. The bids must be accompanied by those documents and materials described in the Proposal Checklist provided in the Project Manual. The Borough and the Architect assume no responsibility for bids mis-mailed or misdirected. Upon opening of the bids, the Borough reserves the right to hold the bids for up to a period of sixty (60) days thereafter before making an award. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive or permit the cure of any minor deficiency or irregularity in accordance with New Jersey law.
