**As of July 6 2022, Project has been cancelled due to cost. For Gateway Theatre Complex - High Density Mobile Storage Shelving System SPECIAL NOTE: Right to reject any and all proposals, either in whole or in part and to waive any irregularities therein is reserved by the Owner. Bid Qualification Meeting: Bidders must be available for a bid prequalification meeting, as soon as the day following the bid opening. The lowest qualified bidder will be contacted and requested to meet with Facilities Planning & Management at their office located at 5454 Cass Avenue, Detroit, MI 48202. During this meeting, the Vendor must provide a Project Schedule and a Schedule of Values, including a list of Contractors suppliers, subcontractors, and other qualifications. If all aspects of the bid are in order, an unsigned contract will be given to the successful Contractor as soon as its available. The Contractor has 5 business days to return the contract to the Project Manager for University counter signature. The contractor must also submit a Performance Bond as outlined above, and a Certificate of Insurance in the same 5 business day period. In the event the Contractor fails to return the documents in this 5 day period, the University reserves the right to award the contract to the next lowest qualified bidder. A satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and Surety Company, in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the maximum proposal amount shall be submitted with each Proposal, which amount may be forfeited to the Board of Governors, Wayne State University, if the successful Bidder refuses to enter into a Contract within ninety (90) days from receipt of Proposals Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond shall be from a surety company acceptable to the Owner and made payable as follows: (1) A bond for 100% of the contract award amount to the Board of Governors of Wayne State University, and guaranteeing the payment of all subcontractors and all indebtedness incurred for labor, materials, or any cause whatsoever on account of the Contractor in accordance with University policy and the laws of the State of Michigan relating to such bonds. (2) A bond for 100% of the contract award amount to the Board of Governors of Wayne State University to guarantee and insure the completion of work according to the Contract.
