Beaufort County is seeking proposals for the staffing and operation of nine (9) residential solid waste and recycling collection centers. These centers collect a variety of waste materials and recyclables. The contractor shall provide staff and supervision for the daily operation of the centers. All requested information and forms MUST be uploaded as one file if possible. If necessary to have more than one upload, pricing, and signed acknowledgements, etc. are to be in the first upload and the Pricing Information should be in the second, with each titled accordingly. If you have a problem with your upload, you may contact Vendor Registry at 844-802-9202 or cservice@vendorregistry.com The successful Contractor shall furnish, within ten (10) days after written notice of acceptance of Request for PROPOSALS, Performance and Payment Bonds. Contractor shall provide and pay the cost of a both bonds. The Bonds shall be in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) the contract, issued by a Surety Company licensed in South Carolina with an "A" minimum rating of performance as stated in the most current publication of "Best's Key Rating Guide, Property Liability" which shall show a financial strength rating of at least five (5) times the Contract Price. The Bond shall be accompanied by a "Power of Attorney" authorizing the attorney-in-fact to bind the surety and certified to include the date of the bond The contract for collection centers staffing and operations services shall be for the three-year term commencing July 1, 2022 and ending June 30, 2024. The County may at its option, subject to a mutual agreement with the Contractor, extend the contract for a term not to exceed two (2) additional years. The County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals received as a result of this request, to negotiate with all qualified firms, or to cancel in part or in its entirety this solicitation, if it is in the best interests of the County to do so. County reserves the right to suspend negotiations with the selected Proposer, contact the next highest ranked Proposer and begin negotiations for the purpose of signing a Contract with that selected Proposer. The County further reserves the right to enter into simultaneous negotiations with two or more Proposers if reasonably competitive proposals are received for the same Service Types and Service Districts.
