Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in St. Albert, Alberta. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Selective building and site demolition to facilitate the construction of a barrier-free raised pedway linking the existing Robert Rundle School to the existing George Simpson School over the existing parking lot. The construction of a new pedway linking the existing Robert Rundle Elementary School to the existing George Simpson Junior High School. The pedway will consist of an integrated entrance vestibule complete with stairwell and elevator at each school. Access to the raised pedway (at same elevation as 2nd floor George Simpson Junior High School) will be via stair or elevator from entrance vestibules at the main floors of each respective school. The repair and making good of any material, roof construction, and flashing surrounding the new construction as outlined in Section 01 35 16 and as shown on the Drawings. Repair any areas of the existing school and site damaged during construction. Contractor to confirm sequence of construction with Consultant before proceeding with the work. TIMELINE: Tender from general contractors issued in spring 2022 was subsequently cancelled by the owner. Project is not expected to be re-tendered. Coverage of this report is discontinued. Estimated Value: $750,000 to $1,000,000
