The work generally consists of removal and reconstruction of selected segments of the small aqueduct on Central Street at McAllen Street and Metzger Street including restoration of surface features. Tenders must be accompanied with a tender deposit in the form of a certified cheque, money order, bid bond or bank draft in the amount of 10% of the Tender Price payable to the Corporation of the City of Sault Ste. Marie. The tender deposit and Agreement to Bond shall be delivered to the City in an envelope marked to the City Clerk prior to closing. Complete tender submissions shall be scanned to a maximum 10MB pdf document and emailed to the email address listed above. The successful bidder will be required to provide a 100% Performance Bond and a 50% Labour and Material Payment Bond upon execution of the contract. Tenders are subject to a formal contract being prepared and executed. The Corporation of the City of Sault Ste. Marie reserves the right to reject any or all tenders and the lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
