A. Follow all Safety Procedures and TDCJ Risk Management Procedures to include the
National Electrical Code, NFPA 70E and Life Safety Code.
B. Remove all fencing from Service Entrance Transformer Pad No. 5 and extend the existing
Concrete Slab to allow for the installation of a New 150 Amp Fused Safety Disconnect, a
New Automatic Transfer Switch and a New 100 KW Diesel Generator.
C. Install a New 150 Amp Fused Safety Disconnect, a New Automatic Transfer Switch, and a
New 100 KW Diesel Generator with all required conductors, conduit, connections and
equipment grounding.
D. Install 4 - #2/0 THWN-2, 1 - #4 Ground in a 2" Conduit between the T9 Service Transformer
to the New 150 Amp 480/277 V 3 Phase 4 Wire Fused Safety Disconnect.
E. Install 4 - #2/0 THWN-2, 1 - #4 Ground in a 2" Conduit between the New 150 Amp 480/277
V 3 Phase 4 Wire Fused Safety Disconnect and the New Automatic Transfer Switch.
F. Install 4 - #2/0 THWN-2, 1 - #4 Ground in a 2" Conduit between the New 100 KW Diesel
Generator to the New Automatic Transfer Switch.
G. Install 4 - #2/0 THWN-2, 1 - #4 Ground in a 2" Conduit between the New Automatic Transfer
Switch to the existing Underground Conduit at the New Pull Box that was installed between
the existing Underground and the HK Panel in the upstairs Gym.
H. Locate and excavate the existing underground from the Transformer Pad No. 5 to the HK
Panel in the upstairs Gym Electrical Room and install a New Pull Box to route the New
Underground from the New Pull Box to the ATS. Abandon the existing underground and
conductors from the New Pull Box to the Service Transformer.
I. Install new fencing and double door gate on to the existing fence and single door gate.
J. Test and commission the entire installation.
