Site work for a water / sewer project in Pontoon Beach, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The proposed work consists of the replacement of approximately 1,375 lineal feet of existing water lines with 8" water mains and related appurtenances in Pontoon Beach. No bidder may withdraw his bid within ninety (90) days of the scheduled time of closing bids. A non-refundable charge of $10.00 to cover postage is required of those contractors who wish to have a packet mailed to them. Digital copies of the plans and specifications may be obtained at no cost upon Engineer's receipt of a completed request/release form provided by Engineer. All bids must be made on forms furnished by the Pontoon Beach Public Water District. The successful bidder will be required to execute and present performance and payment bonds in a sum equal to the full amount of the contract. Bids must be for the contract as a whole. Illinois law requires that contractors pay the prevailing wage rates as determined by the Department of Labor. The Pontoon Beach Public Water District reserves the right to waive, or not to waive, any irregularities in the bids and to reject any or all bids and to determine which is the lowest and best bid.
