In December, 2021, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) approved a project titled "City of Martinsville - Localized Flood Control Project - Phase I." Specifically, this project when fully implemented is intended to provide flood mitigation at the Nationwide Homes facility located along Rives Road in the City of Martinsville. Phase I of the project will provide an engineering study and design work, including drainage calculations, a hydrologic and hydraulic study, permitting, mapping, and application preparation in anticipation of the project moving to Phase 2 which will include project construction and construction management. The Phase 2 component of the project will be evaluated upon completion of Phase 1 and the results of the Phase 1 deliverables are reviewed by FEMA Region III. The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is the procurement of professional engineering consulting services for the project as noted above, and described more fully in the Scope of Services.
