The work will include, but not be limited to milling the top 3 inches of the existing pavement and resurfacing Richmond Avenue (Oak Street to State Street) and Harvester Avenue (Colorado Avenue to Main Street) and full pavement reconstruction of Harvester Avenue (Ellicott Street to Colorado Avenue). The milled areas of the project include spot pavement reconstruction as needed; some curb resetting; and sidewalk infrastructure upgrades to meet requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Within the Harvester Avenue reconstruction limits, work also includes new curbs, sidewalk upgrades, new catch basins and driveway apron replacement. Some water service replacements and valve work are included on Richmond Avenue. Traffic will be maintained on site via staged construction and daily lane closures. This project is a Locally Administered Federal Aid Project. The DBE goal for this project of 6%; there are no M/WBE goals. Contract term: 180 days Each bid must be accompanied by security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The Bidder to whom the Contract is awarded will be required to furnish Performance, Payment and Guarantee Bonds from an acceptable Surety Company for an amount not less than 100% of the accepted bid. The successful Bidder and all subcontractors must have an approved CCA-2 on file with NYSDOT prior to being awarded a contract.
