The California Department of Public Health, Facilities Management Section (FMS), is soliciting bids from qualified bidders to provide Elevator Preventative Maintenance on nineteen (19) elevators on the California Department of Public Health - Richmond Campus. Contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, equipment, and materials necessary to provide full elevator maintenance service in accordance with current industry standards, including 24-hour monitoring, monthly pit inspections, and fire recall tests, for three (3) National Elevators (one passenger and two freight), four (4) Mitsubishi Elevators (three passenger and one freight),eleven (11) Otis Elevators (five passenger and six freight), and one (1) McKinley Equipment Corporation wheelchair lift elevator. The Facilities Management Section intends to make a single contract award to the most responsive and responsible firm offering the lowest cost. In the opinion of Department of Public Health (CDPH), this Invitation for Bid is complete and without need of explanation. CDPH reserves the right to amend the agreement when CDPH determines the need for additional funding but in which case shall not exceed 30% of the cost of the agreement. The same hourly rate(s) as agreed upon by the parties in the agreement shall be applied to the amendment. Consideration to amend shall be consistent with the terms of the original offer that was assessed and considered during the IFB assessment process.
