Documents attached list the county roads in Reagan County to be included in Bid. The award for this project will be considered as a total bid and will be awarded accordingly. Reagan County has the right to accept any bid deemed to be advantageous. Any questions may be addressed to the County Auditor's office, P.O. Box 100, Big Lake, Texas, 76932, (325) 884-2233. Bidders are also expected to understand and comply with legislation concerning wage rate and payment of the prevailing wage rates. Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to Reagan County. The envelope should have the name of the bidder and the name of the project 2022 Seal Coat Road Project on the outside of the envelope. If submitted by mail or delivery service, the sealed envelope containing the bid must be enclosed in another envelope addressed to the Reagan County Clerk's Office, P.O. Box 100, 300 N. Plaza, Big Lake, Texas 76932. All bids must be made on the required Bid form. All blank spaces for the bid prices must be filled in (typewritten or in ink), and the Bid form must be fully completed and executed when submitted. Each bid must be accompanied by a complete and fully executed Form 1295 Certificate of Interested Parties (Form 1295 must be accessed online at vv-w-w.ethics.state.tx.us), Bid Bonds, certified checks or cashier's checks, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount of each bid submitted. The bonds or checks shall be made payable to Reagan County, as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract (including executed bonds) within 10 days after notice of award of contract. The County will return the bonds (or checks) of all except the three lowest responsible bidders. When the Contract is executed, the bonds (or checks) of the remaining unsuccessful bidders will be returned. The Bid Bonds of the successful bidder will be retained until the Payment Bonds and Performance Bonds have been executed and approved, after which they will be returned. Reagan County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any technicalities, informalities or minor defects, or to accept the proposal they deem to be in the best interest of the County. Any bid received after the time and date specified shall not be considered.
