This project is included in Sumter County's fiscal years 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of November 29, 2023, an engineer has been selected and this project is in the design phase. Further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. A firm timeline for construction has not been established; however, funding for construction is allotted to fiscal year 2025. A detailed scope has not yet been released.
UPDATE : C 466 at C 475 Roundabout The project proposes installing a roundabout at C 466 and C 475N intersection.

RFQ submittals must be clearly marked as: "RFQ 003-0-2022/RS Sumter County Professional Design Services for C-466 at C-475N Roundabout Safety Project". Upon submission, all RFQ packages will become the property of the BOCC, who has the right to use any or all ideas presented in any packages submitted in response to this RFQ, whether or not the RFQ is accepted. The Selection Committee's recommendation for contract negotiations will be presented to the BOCC on June 14, 2022. Sumter County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) will receive qualification packages for the following: "RFQ 003-0-2022/RS Sumter County Professional Design Services for C-466 at C-475N Roundabout Safety Project". This project involves the conversion of the existing C 466 and C 475 intersection to a single-lane roundabout per the recommended long-term improvements from the FDOT Intersection Safety Study for C-466 at C-475. Consultants shall be prequalified to perform FDOT Work Groups: 3.2, 4.1.1, 7.1, and 7.2. Consultants or subconsultants shall be prequalified to perform FDOT Work Groups: 8.1, 8.2, 9.1, and 9.2.
