This Project Provides for the Open Cut/same Trench Replacement, Parallel Replacement, Pipe Bursting and Trench- Less Installation of Approximately 13,500 Linear Feet of Gravity Sewer and Installation of New or Rehabilitation of Existing Manholes. The Purpose of This Project Is to Increase the Diameter and Capacity of the Sewers to Eliminate Sanitary Sewer Overflows Along the Alignments. Sizes Range From 8-inch to 30-inch With Pipe Material Consisting of Ductile Iron Pipe and Fused Polyvinyl Chloride. The Two Sewer Segments to Be Addressed Are Primarily Located Within City of Mountain Brook and City of Homewood. 1. The northeastern improvements begin on Montclair Road and follow Memory Lane south and southwest to Country Club Lane. The improvements follow the existing sewer onto The Country Club of Birmingham property and terminate upstream of the tennis courts on the Country Club property. The western improvements begin at the intersection of Pomona Avenue and Hermosa Drive adjacent to Highway 280 and continue east toward the Town Square. The improvements follow Hermosa Drive and Bonita Drive, cross under Highway 280, and then follow Cahaba Road to Culver Road where the improvements end just south of Canterbury Road.
