*** THIS IS A REQUEST FOR QUOTE UNDER SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION PROCEDURES *** The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Production and Conservation - Acquisition Division is issuing a Request for Quotes(RFQ) in accordance with FAR Part 13 on behalf of the USDA - Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) Ohio State Office for work to be performed near Clayton, Montgomery County, Ohio. The job consists of clearing and removal of fallen trees and debris from, and adjacent to 2 stream channels: East Site - approximately 750 linear ft. of channel clearing, debris removal, and restoration of disturbed areas, and temporary site access improvements. West Site - approximately 1570 linear ft. of channel clearing, debris removal, restoration of disturbed areas, and temporary site access improvements. Trees and other woody vegetation designated to remain undisturbed shall be protected from damage throughout the entire construction period. Clearing and removal of cleared materials shall be performed in a manner to minimize disturbance to standing trees/woody vegetation to remain, and land surface adjacent to cleared materials to be removed. All cleared woody vegetation shall be stockpiled at the staging and stockpiling site shown on the drawings. Material may be chipped or ground before stockpiling. Grinding and chipping equipment may only be operated within the hours of 9:00 am until 5:00 pm. All cleared materials shall be hauled and disposed away from the site. The contractor is responsible for complying with all local rules and regulations and the payment of any and all fees that may result from the disposal at locations away from the construction location. The magnitude of construction is between $100,000 and $250,000. An organized site visit has been scheduled for Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Participants will meet at the Council Chambers at the Clayton Government Center, 6996 Taywood Road, Englewood, OH 45322 *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
