The building to be demolished is an eight story, approximately 85,632 square foot building. Services provided by the firm or individual must include, but are not limited to: o Facilitate a report to identify hazardous materials, if any, in the facility. o Ensure all utilities are disconnected properly and in accordance with all applicable laws and codes. o Preparation of engineered demolition documents. o Preparation of bid documents and facilitation of a formal bid to select a demolition contractor. o Work with AB Tech Emergency Services Division to assist with training opportunities before demolition. o Work with the County and subcontractor to develop a plan for maximizing the recycling of materials in the demolition process, minimizing the material going to the landfill. o Ensure the owner is left with a safe and sustainable site once demolition is complete The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
