A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Project shall consist of construction of Solar Wind Cone, Rotating Beacon, Sandblast and Paint Existing Beacon Tower, New Electric Vault Equipment in Existing Electric Equipment Vault. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the amount of five (5) percent of the total amount of the bid. The bid guaranty may be by certified check or bid bond made payable to PONTOTOC COUNTY. Bids may be held by the PONTOTOC COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of evaluating bids prior to award of contract. This project is subject to the requirements of the Davis-Bacon Act, as amended. The Contractor is required to comply with wage and labor provisions and to pay minimum wages in accordance with the schedule of wage rates established by the United States Department of Labor. Award of contract is also subject to the following Federal provisions: (a) Presidents Executive Order No. 11246 as amended by 29 CFR Part 30 and 41 CFR Part 60. (b) Davis Bacon and Related Acts, 29 CFR Parts 1, 3, and 5. (c) Copeland Act, 29 CFR Part 3. (d) Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act. (e) Title VI of Civil Rights Act of 1964.
