All quotations are to be submitted by 2:00pm on May 5, 2022. A written response will be faxed or emailed to all potential vendors. Award(s) shall be made to the responsible bidder(s) whose Bid(s) is determined, in writing, to be the most favorable for the Town of Hampstead, taking into account all the evaluation criteria set forth in this RFB. The Town of Hampstead reserves the right to reject any and all Bids submitted in response to this RFB. The Town of Hampstead is seeking a contractor to provide removal and replacement of an asphalt park walking trail. The selected contractor will be responsible for providing all the labor, materials, equipment and supplies necessary to perform the services defined in the scope of work. The RFB and the successful bid will serve as the basis for a contract. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision to remove and replace an asphalt park walking trail [See Exhibit A for layout]. The project will include providing and installing the following: a. Removal and proper disposal of existing 700 feet long by 5 feet wide walking trail. b. Construct a new 700 feet long by 5 feet wide walking trail in the same place. c. Walking trail should be built with 2 inches of compacted blacktop on top of a stone base. d. Backfill, seed and stabilize disturbed earth. e. Clean all areas worked in and remove all debris. The Town may make such investigations deemed necessary to determine that the bidder is qualified to carry out the work, and the bidder shall furnish to the Town all such information and data required for this purpose. The Town reserves the right to reject any bid if the information obtained fails to satisfy to the Town that such bidder is properly qualified. Except as may be otherwise specified or agreed, the Contractor shall repair all defects in materials, equipment, or workmanship appearing within one year from the date of Final Completion of the Project at no additional cost to the Town. An inspection shall be conducted by the Town or its representative(s) near the completion of the one-year general warranty period to identify any issues that must be resolved by the Contractor. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
